Questions

Gmail cleanup with clear limits.

Does InboxTidy read my email?

InboxTidy scans Gmail metadata such as sender, date, list headers, and estimated size. It does not store message bodies, attachments, snippets, or raw Gmail payloads.

Can I undo archive or trash actions?

Supported archive and trash actions are logged in the audit view so you can restore them. Trash restores are subject to Gmail still retaining the messages.

Does InboxTidy permanently delete Gmail messages?

No. Archive removes the Inbox label and applies an InboxTidy label. Trash moves selected mail to Gmail Trash, where Google's own retention rules apply.

What does the free scan show?

The free scan groups older Gmail metadata by sender, estimates count and storage impact, and lets you review cleanup opportunities before paying or granting modify access.
